The O Shot for Vaginal Dryness

The O Shot for Vaginal Dryness

Many women experience vaginal dryness. For women who have battled breast cancer, the risk of having vaginal dryness is even higher. The condition is called dyspareunia. It creates pain during sexual intercourse so significant that many women with it will simply avoid their partners. It occurs because of a women’s inability to use estrogen properly, which is necessary in the production of lubrication. That leads to painful intercourse. Women who have had breast cancer are unable to use estrogen because doing so would increase the risk of recurrence of the cancer.

The O Shot Offers a Solution

The O Shot Procedure aims to provide a solution to this condition. The O Shot Procedure was a necessary development due to the lack of other viable solutions for this very specific situation. The available procedures and processes involve the use of lidocaine and other topicals designed not to improve a woman’s ability to enjoy sex but instead to be more accommodating to a partner. The available treatments are far from effective or beneficial. The development of this procedure was necessary to meet all needs.

What Does the O Shot Do?

The use of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a significantly different solution. At this, this was injected into the genital-urinary space. The research we’ve done over the years has shown that the use of PRP can improve a women’s sexual dysfunction significantly. It works to rejuvenate the tissue in the area.

PRP is not a new type of procedure. It has been used for over 20 years in various ways. It is recognized as a way to help tissue to heal, especially if that tissue has been damaged or is otherwise struggling to heal. Most often, this procedure is used to rejuvenate bone and tissue that lacks good blood supply.

This procedure was developed by extracting PRP from the blood using a centrifuge. It separates out the PRP from the red cells. The process allows for this highly effective component of blood to be present at the site where damage is. This process happens naturally at any time a person has an injury or has surgery. It aids in the wound-healing process. When there is a wound, the platelets release growth factors. This activates stem cells that migrate from the bone marrow. Those stem cells work to heal the tissue that’s damaged.

The O-Shot injection is done in a safe way to minimize any pain and risk of the development of granulomas, which can cause an obstruction. Small injections are made in a very safe manner.

The results of this are significant. Within three months, the soft tissue has improved significantly.  The improvement in female sexual distress is so significant that most women say they would do it again.

For women who are unable to enjoy sex – and even avoid it at all costs because of the pain – the O-Shot can work well. In study after study, it has shown significant improvement in the comfort a woman has. This is not a simple solution to make it possible to have sex but a way to improve the conditions to ensure a woman can enjoy it as well.
